This year's theme is EROSION. To begin us on this year-long journey, Dr. Robert Jarrett from the USGS will be sharing a presentation titled:
"Insights in Flood Science using Paleoflood Hydrology"
Dr. Jarrett has 37 years of experience in flood hydrology and hydraulics, and paleoflood hydrology, with much of his career working on flood hydrology related to dam safety. This lecture provides an overview of recent flood and paleoflood research as well as lessons learned from studying extraordinary flash floods, dam-failure floods, and floods in recently burned watersheds.
